Youghal Comhaltas continues its evolvement into a group focused on community-based, wider initiatives with the arrival in town of one Caz Jeffreys this week, writes Christy Parker.
The West Cork-based singer and musician will be making her first working visit to Youghal – and indeed to East Cork – but is scheduled to re-align with Comhaltas Craobh Eochaille in September as what may become a wonderful friendship progresses.
Cambridge-born, but living in Ballydehob, Caz Jeffreys delivers a range of creative, community-driven and private projects, with diverse objectives.
A holder of a Masters of Arts degree from University of Limerick, she has been musical director to community choirs in West Cork and Cork City since 2003.
